What You Should Know About Biological Warfare

Post by Mad Max RW »

[ -> N/A]

A guy by the name of Steve Downing sends word of a downloadable U.S. Civil Defense movie from 1952 covering biological weapons and what we should do in case of an attack. It’s funny how they use the same thinking today as they did over fifty years ago. The movie is a little over seven minutes long and comes in a few different formats.

If you need some laughs <A HREF=http://www.archive.org/movies/details-d ... nSpotlight target=_blank>check it out. Thanks again, Steve.

Nice stuff.

The DAC movie is better though, there's a carton turtle and better acting.

There's a great one about atomic energy floating around the internet as well where they talk about the 94 atomic elements. I used to have a whole site that had gobs of them, but it went down a while ago.

That is a shame, I think that Saint may have posted a link long ago. Anyone else know where there are more Civil Defence jems floating about.

at about 7:11 into the film (almost at the end) if you pause it just in time, you can see where the film got a whole burned/made in it. cool.

great film, i love that stuff

I can't help but notice that everybody thinks Burt is the star. What about the fucking monkey with the explosives on a fishing line? He dies for his cause. Respec'. He's the real hero in this story. I'd prefer Fallout:NAMBLA if it had monkeys fishing with explosives instead of jihad ghouls.

Only a real artist knows the actual anatomy of the terrible, or the physiology of fear - the exact sort of lines and proportions that connect up with latent instincts or heriditary memories of fright, and the proper colour contrasts and lighting effects to stir the dormant sense of strangeness.

Man, Monkeys suck.

If there is one thing that movie taught us it's that uncareful people (or animals) are not cool and generally suck.

Burt has a shell, a helmet and a good sense of danger, meaning he pwns.
