Nah, only tiles. Old versions of Red!Viewer allowed you to select a "clip rectangle" which allowed you to copy/paste the proper area of an image and slap it into a graphics editor - albeit it didn't support alpha... Good for web pics at best. I think I still have a version, however it's qu...

You only need to create those directories if you end up selecting a drive. I can find out if there are more missing pretty easyly if you tell me what you need to do...

Play old school post-apoc multiplayer game online!

I setup a Synchronet BBS on my box. On it is ONLY featured Land of Devastation, an old(well, 1990-1995) post-apoc BBS DOOR game. You can find out a bit more about the game at www.landofdev.com. If you aren't scared of ascii screens, simply telnet to red.kicks-ass.org. NOT FOR MOUSE ONLY TYPE PEOPLE ...

Life's keeping me busy with my three lil' ones...

No, sadly, you can only change the bounding box for tiles for now, since you can't save sprites.

Hi! Not dead, almost but not quite (: About any "white borders", you shouldn't have any of them... I don't see why you do -- that is if you maintain the alpha layer. I clearly remember trying this with photoshop 7.01: taking a transparant TIL exporting to TGA, loading in Photoshop, applyin...

Syreen... that name reminds me of Star Control... yet another series flushed down the toilet by some other team making the game... Reaping on franchise names... At least unlike Enforcers (Fallout or X-COM), they stuck to the genre... Although if you know a little history about the series, you'd know...

Indeed the fill type is to specify that when you enter this tile, the map should "highlight" automagically all tiles left of this one as it's actually just water.

Thanks to Temaperacl for this enlightenment.

[quote="Locutus"]The only thing I changed with NPC's is with thier appearance when wearing armor (this is what you're talking right?). It looks stupid to see Cassidy wearing power armor and still looking like a leather dude.[quote]I prefer having them as the original look and be able to te...

The complexity of making original sprites which actually WORK properly with the multiple layers are rather high, which is the main problem of sprites. Given I eventually work on sprites (other then just weapons and containers) there will be a need to make a batch process to import the data into a sp...

I made a real neat replica of the vault13 cave at some point and even added some spice to it by elevating some areas and slapping holes and stuff here and there. I made the entrace 2 walls high for the heck of it too and some other nicities to make for interesting multiplayer interaction... All this...

Each tile defines it's own FRM (and possibly MSK) file. You can define the number of tiles in a row on this line in worldmap.txt:

Code: Select all

[Tile Data]
num_horizontal_tiles=2
It's important that this number be a divisor of the total number of tiles or the game crashes when loading.

Personally I think there are too many non-essetial fixes slapped in... Like the changing team members... I don't find it useful for the NPCs to change and in fact find it annoying.

By asking for those two files you're effectivly asking for the full game. This thread has been purged. If you legitimitaly have a problem you can get your CDs replaced from interplay for probably a higher price then buying a new dual-cd jewel case which I suggest you get instead. Otherwise hope your...
