OK, after my last post I thought "maybe I should try the manual installation". before I installed it using the Autorun, but then I went to http://www.nma-fallout.com/article.php?id=1593 and installed it manually. Works perfectly without setting any compatibility modes or other options. Tha...

Rightclick the Fallout.exe or Fallout shortcut on the desktop... then set "Compability" -> Compability Mode to Windows 95. /98, when 95 doesnt work. It should work now. That was eazy, eh? B) btw. Welcome to DaC - the fastest Fallout Support. Tell your friends. That didn't work too. So far...

Fallout crashes when starting up

I'm on Windows XP, and whenever I try to start the patched Fallout it shows a black screen for 3 seconds then disappears and it's as if the game hadn't loaded.
