Re: New Sprite Editer

Dak wrote: JJ86 Hey if I send it to you can you post it on your site.
I should be able to do that. It's been awhile since I logged into TRS. Send it to me and I'll give it a shot.

Dexter sounds a little learning impaired. That happens from eating too much fast food or something. Yes ACB, I recognize you from VaultX. I post there sometimes under the nick JJ86.

No there is no tutorial because nobody has done it successfully. It probably won't be possible without the original tools and AFAIK will be an extremely complicated undertaking.

Yeah, it's with the tiles. On afew of the HW tiles I tried to make tga files to have a picture to post on my site and they crashed. One thing I noticed when playing HW is that the ramped floor tiles allow for the car to drive up them. When converted to FOT they can't be. I assume the bounding box ha...

A sprite>tile function may be useful in a limited number of cases but it still might be interesting.

I'm not sure if this is addressed in your next version Red, but even with the latest version I get the ocassional run-time error crash when making TGA's.

oh crap really? Whats the campaign, maybe I could just take the map out of that. Well I think he's still working on the campaign so it is highly doubtful that he'll give you the map before he finishes his own project. :eyebrow: Definitely if you are going to try and use a map that isn't part of the...

Yeah, version 23 does work with the problem tiles. Great. But sprite conversion would be a nice touch if possible for a future version. Do you think there might be an easy way to do a conversion from tile to sprite or vice versa?

I went to go back and check over the Hot Wheels tiles and sprites and noticed some tiles crashed the old Rediewer (1.6.17). I can send you the offending tiles if you want to experiment. Also I wondered if you could possibly offer the same conversion for the HW sprites as the tiles. There are quite a...

Damn, it doesn't sound like the greatest of news but we've been waiting this long so a little longer shouldn't be too bad. Do you have any thoughts of adding sprite editing support?

Speaking of MicroForte, I was reading in a post by Section 8 that a combat armor character sprite was one of the first made for Tactics 2. Since they wouldn't give it up for free, what does anyone think our chances of BUYING it from them would be if we ask real nice? If it comes down to it (since i...

The tilework is not much more than a blank canvas to tell a story with. It's really the entities, speeches, triggers and other assorted scripting which will bring a map to life. Even with the same tilework, two different mappers can make an entirely different scenario. I wish [ROE]-Snake would have ...
