Right so its entirely implausible for a settlement to have a facility for holding perpetrators of minor crimes? Or perhaps the pc has been tried, convicted and awaits execution when they're abducted and put into some other cell, which mysteriously gets attacked? The opening plot isnt exactly awe-ins...

It looks reasonable but the textures do suffer a bit. The most interesting factor of the 3d engine for me is that its potentially easier for new content and mods to be implemented. Alas it will not be so.

If it looks primitive people are unlikely to buy it. As I said; people are fickle. SoA was a tactical game and The Fall is using pretty much the same technology. I never said the game itself would suffer from a lack of eye candy, just that sales might suffer because of it. I'm looking forward to The...

I'd expected a little graphics improvement since their last game; SoA. It looks ok but it may need a bit more polish before release if it hopes to contend with the likes of HL2. We're a fickle bunch and without a buff in the prettyness factor it may suffer. I think the game focuses more on combat th...

Fallout is not based in the 50's. It is based in 50's sci fi. the weapons like the 10mm pistol, sub machine gun looked the part with their pointless styling and kinda bulky design. ww2 is a long way away from the apocalyptic war in 2077. many weapons are developed. I just want it to keep with the pu...

true they probably went for well known weapons over what would be more fallout-y. like the desert eagle.

S.P. I think the m14 is extremely accurate. Dunno tho, I'll have to talk to Hammer about it, last I heard he was arrested for carrying a Thompson around.

gun collectors would keep those kind of weapons.

the HKg11 looks simple because its meant to be rugged. there's no bits to have clogged etc. it just wasnt deemed feasable tho or something plus loading the magazine is difficult.

well there is an answer to that but its a bit crap. lets take the example of the m16. the m14 was the predessesor and was an excellent combat rifle. well balanced with excellent accuracy, reliability etc etc. the m16 was a slightly inferior weapon which was brougth into service by the american army ...

Granted, the gun doesn't really fit into the fallout style.

Which gun in fallout do you think looks the most fallout-y

Personally I'd go with the 10mm Pistol and 10mm sub

I'n my view the newest looks the nicest, but not really the most retro... but then again perhaps it does. I like the newer version anyway.

I believe the g11 project was put on hold though in favour of the OICW, correct me if i am wrong.

One of the main features I liked about fallout was that it didnt slip to magic, it stays within reasonable feasability. The FEV mutants, the radiation, the society, are all pretty believeable. Not so with magic. I enjoy magic games, sure, I play RPGs like Dungeon siege and Neverwinter Nights but tho...

Interplay is extremely unlikely to allow you to use their intellectual property for a non-profit cause. Think about it, even on the Fallout Tactics editer they stated that you have no right to anything you create using their software and interplay can conviscate any and all of your work for public s...
