A lot of them will make the game less reliable and prone to crashes. I know when someone went through and re-edited the original maps with that came with the game it crashed less.

I don't think one or two would be a big problem though.

I've a been working on trench warfare map that does something like this which is based off timers and setting various zones as death traps and turning them on and off. There is probally a better, more elegant and random way of simulating mortar fire though, since the way I'm doing requires a shitloa...

Re: New Weapon Problem.

Hey Guys... I found this nice looking Mortar Launcher Sprite, in one of the mission specific dir's. I want to use it for some of my missions but here comes the problem. I opened up a Turret *.ent file and saved it as a new turret file, didn't change anything to the properties. After saving it, I ch...

Personally I like the vault from vault city more since it goes down instead of up.

Re: actors bleeding when following waypoints?

That's pretty weird. You might want to go into the entity editor and open them up, and then check the actor status part to make sure the current hitpoint amount is right. Yeah, thanks! I checked the entity, and sure enough the hit point's were down. However, I did have to check in the "advance...

Re: actors bleeding when following waypoints?

When using my own entities in a map, they seem to bleed in the game when following waypoints! When they aren't following waypoints they seem to be fine though. Is there a reason for this? and how can I stop it? I'll try and work on finding out why the heck this happens, but any help would be great,...

In your fallout tactics directory there's a folder named "Core." There are a bunch of .bos files in that folder. Those have all of the game files like the tiles, sprites, etcs. What you need to do is rename them to .zip files and then you can just unzip them. The tiles are in tiles_0.bos s...

Recruit pool and Merchants

I know how to add recruits in a campaign, but is it possible to take recruits out of the pool? I'm going to go with requiem's idea of being able to become a raider if your reputation gets too low and you get thrown out of the Brotherhood that was posted in that other thread. The only problem I see i...

http://world.guns.ru is such a great site. I go there pretty much whenever I need to look up something like weight or ammo capacities. The only problem with it is that most of the pictures are in black white so it's harder to use them for sprites, and the proxy at work filters it out for having &quo...

Another big error is that the SAW uses the wrong kind of ammo (should use 5.56). Which is stupid, because unlikes a lot of the guns that say they've been modified because the ammo they use isn't in the game, the right kind of ammo is actually in the game. I really don't think removing strength requi...

Reputation Questions

First, is there a link to a list of how many points each repuation level is? Are there any kind of hardcoded reputation gains or losses included in the game or is (hopefully) all trigger? What I want to do is to use reputation as a measure of success instead of a measure of karma, and put a check in...

Was "destroy user" ever implemented correctly

I've been trying to create a suicide bomb weapon, and I figured the easiest way to do that would be use "destroy user." But when I do that, the character I gave it to will explode taking 1000 damage, but everyone else in the blast radius will be knocked down, but take no damage, even if I ...

Lenny sucks, Myron also sucks, but he's a lot of fun to listen to, especially if you're playing a female. I don't think Myron is funny at all, especially not if I'm playing a female character. But then, I tend to rely on high Charisma and Intelligence a lot, and I suppose that brings out the worst ...
