I spoke with two people in the gaming industry (not linked to BIS) - IRL, who'd'a'thunk - and basically the word running is that BIS was dismanteled entirely (although they kept all the trademarks and brand names since the shell is still worth quite a bit - and allows them to say crap like "BIS...

Might want to try Red!Viewer though it outputs TGAs instead of BMPs. I can't guarantee the green pixels to be gone though since I remember having some issues with green pixels...

Yes you can change the size of the world map to pretty much anything, limit being "tile" wide (not square wide...) of course, with a minimum of 2 tiles (over 1 screen length) for both height and width. The map needs to be a rectangle, also quite obvious... If you want to enlarge it, then c...

The spots on the map get added when you enter the map (with a script). If using the decompiler (which you are, as otherwise that'd be quite impossible...) Check the code of the map itself. Now the question is, can we actually toggle the entrance options OFF, as we certaily can turn them on. In any c...

The "board comment" mentions that not everyone was layed off. So well, it wouldn't be a lie saying that BIS wasn't dismantled even if it's soul was gone. What's disturbing (and moreso makes me queezy) is that the statment supposedly officially states that FO3 WOULD be coming out when again...

I don't like that perspective of [the] Fallout [bible] either. Though there is some abstraction to be made indeed, the bible numbers I certainly don't agree with.

There are two point of too much details: - So many details the game runs way too slow - So many details it hinders gameplay (although the first also applies to this one... - a few examples: This pipe is blocking the view of my players; this pipe makes [specific creature] unable to pass through; or y...

Well, given it doesn't hinder gameplay -- and you actually see what's underneath the roof, there's nothing wrong with proper architecture... Although on the other side of the coin, the more tiles you slap on a map/moreso on a single screen, ther more RAM it'll take...

If someone could supply me with hotwheels images, I'm certain I could convert them quite easyly...
Sprites, ZARs and tiles...

As for converting, I beleive he wants to do the oposite: convert ents to chrs... The editor itself loads up chrs correctly, except you can't save them as chrs.

I've read a similar post on the BIS er... IPLY... er Hallow Entity... forums. Anyhoo, I never got a reply, but in any case I beleive the problem with the german version is the localization. Here's the answer I gave to which I never got a reply: Open mapper2.cfg, find the [system] section and change ...

There are no reavers, just humans (and a crippled BOS elder). The thing is the sprites themselves only need to support a standard string format in the sequence for them to work... I checked and indeed there is a problem. If you check the sequence of any rocket launcher attack in my viewer, you'll no...

I checked with redviewer and both the animation and sequence for all stances of the reavermale are there (and work fine in the viewer though there might be obscure issues with the sequence). As for Spray, one COULD download the last demo of FOT and SHOULD be able to open those character sprites in i...

Um, where could you find the reaverhuge sprite? As far as I know there is none (unless I accidently deleted it which I doubt but you never know...) There are only male and female sprites in the files I have... The way the game seems to be designed, there are no armour for any of the huge chracters, ...

Man you last posters suck. Except for the tactical game comment (which sacres me a bit too, but judging by all the people standing about not doing much I might ba able to take a real RPG with tactical battles), all your comments are for eye candy and action. Dunno. Thing is that I have to reimpliment the clip-rectangle (which was a pain) then on top of it take the surfaces and merge them together (to preserve a proper alpha output). I've been thinking about it for quites some time though never gave it deep thoughts as I though saving sprites would be of...
