Well, in about 85 minutes, my download of the demo from FilePwanet will start. After I get it DLed and played some, I'll post. I just hope my dusty 1.3 P4 can handle it...

Loved the original UT, never played 2K3, dunno if there was one between those two.

Small update from me: I've changed the storyline for my map quite a bit. Instead of a "dark secret," the player will be investigating rumors of a faction/multiple factions of resistance towards the Brotherhood of Steel (of which the player is "in") and the mission is kind of a &q...

I would, but I'm going for the "close quarters combat" motif here.

There's the road, ruined city concrete slopes. And under industrial there's some sloped vent tiles which are metal. Sweet, I didn't know of these. I'll have to take 'em for a spin when I get back from school... Edit : Hrm, I can't seem to find the sloped vent tiles you speak of, Requiem. Couldja hi...

True, true, but would look kinda wierd. Looks like that's what I'll have to do, though. Hmmm...

A Quickie

So I have two medium-sized buildings next to each other. One is two stories high and the other is one story high. I want to "connect" the top floors of the two buildings (i.e. the "rooves" of the two buildings ) via sloped tiles. My problem is that I can't seem to find any s...

As long as you give Senor Deluxe credit for using his tiles, there's not much else you must do. Personally, I've been keeping new tiles in folders named as the author, i.e. the tiles I made are in core/tiles/Max-V/, SD's are in core/tiles/Senor Deluxe/, Req's are in core/tiles/Requiem, etc. Same dea...

That (the not being able to kill all the Raiders) sounds like the problem that I fixed. Still, do let me know the details.

Just release Revenge 3, update your web page, and work on your new map. You can always release an updated version later. :) Yeah, I could do that. I don't like leaving things unfinished, but looking at that damn map makes me wanna hurl. Oh, and I'll update my site at some point. I have no idea what...

Well, that almost worked. It put my post before TBCPH's. Oh well. Anyway, I recall posting an updated version of the map once a bug with one of the quests was reported by (memory serves) Requiem. Other than that, I don't remember getting/discovering any other problems. If you could specify which que...

Re: RE

I hope I am thinking of the right map (the one where you escape from prison, go through cops town, kill roaches underground with help from a bar guy, and finally take out some raiders with help from a sniper & explosives?) Nope, that's Jailbreak 1. Revenge (and Rebellion, for that matter) have ...

My new map (of which about 7.3% of the tilework is done) is called Dustville and its about a populous low-tech town which has a dark secret :) The player assumes the role of the commander of a not-so-crack squad of Brotherhood initiates to investigate aforementioned dark secret. Low-tech bad guys, l...

Gotta get that no CD patch thingy... Gotta get a girlfriend... My monthly car payment isn't too bad. It's about 1/3 that of a typical rent payment in my area. Insurance, however... It be worth it, though, it definately be worth it! *sigh* Now if only I could muster up the inclination to go back to w...

That's good to hear. Some of were wondering if your had died of that broken heart. Damn close, OTB, damn close. Are we talking a new car, or just one that's new to you? We're talking a 2004 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport, that's what! Well, if nothing else you're still the most prolific of Map Rats t...

Good news #1: Well, my inspiration for FOT mapping-related activities seems to have resurfaced somewhat. Good news #2: I bought a new car the other day! Bad news #1: My work-in-progress, Revenge, tires me to no end. I'll release a finalized Revenge 3, and that's about it. For the time being, at leas...
